Got a call today from the coach company. They quoted me £535 for a 35 seated coach which will pick us up (I asked for pick up points in somerton and street, but I don't mind making it Yeovil and street instead), taking us and bringing us back when were done. If we fill the coach it will be £15.28 each for the coach. Or shall we go in our own vehicles??? The choice is yours!!!

Right guys another option.

We can hire a couple/few of minibus' which i can assure you will be alot less that the 500 quid. The minibus' can only be hired for a charity organsiation so if you peeps are ok with it, ill bring along my explorer scouts group (about 7 people) which means we can have the minibuses.
Not too sure on prices yet, but will update you asap.

Its upto you, but it will mean we need a couple of drivers i guess?

can get a minibus from dorset vehicles for £80 a weekend + fuel and these are the new transits and so will do 40 - 50+ mpg but are limited to 100kmh so you should in theory be able to do Milton kenens and back on a tank

Forgot to add that I recieved a reply back from airkix regarding a few questions I had relating to asthma, weight and availability on the 22nd. I also asked whether it was ok for people to have different packages if needed. For anyone over 18st please pm me your weight and I'll forward this on to them and see what they say. As I'm on my phone it's easier for me to cut and paste the reply over than rewrite bits.

-------------------
Hello Mark.

Got it right this time round! Asthma is fine, we've flown plenty of people
who've asked this with no issues. We do allow people to bring inhalers in the
tunnel area with them and the instructors have no problem with this.

If your over 18st this can be an issue, if it's just a little over then we're
certainly not going to weigh people at reception or anything like that. The
instructors are in there for your safety and also to assist your flight
experience and if you go unstable they are there to literally catch you without
causing injury to you or themselves.

Below is a link to our "risk statement" which every flyer will have to fill out
before flying.

http://sor.airkix.com/?css=1

We run the tunnel in 30 minute sessions so we would mix the different flight
packages up with some flying two minutes and some flying four.

On November 22nd there is still space but it is also starting to fill up so I
would recommend booking asap.

Let me know what you think and we'll go from there.

Regards, Andy.

Just spoke to the person about minibuses. They are trying their best to get me a quote but i have no final prica as of yet. They did say though that the last time they got the minibues it was about £110 per bus (i think) (without driver) so were looking around £250 for both i guess?? It could be wrong but am trying my hardest to get a final price.

If they are that price Titch I would forget it, I can get a 17 seater minibus (new transit) for £75.61 incl VAT from U-Drive. If this is the price you get for charitable use I would suggest your scout group gets their minibus's from somewhere else.. !!
