I got replies from both companies with prices as follows:

Bodyflight in Bedford

  • Single Lesson 2.5mins - £39 x 2 Flights
  • Double Lesson 5mins - £65 x 4 Flights
  • Triple Lesson 7.5mins - £85 x 6 Flights
  • Quadruple Lesson 10mins - £120 x 8 Flights
They didn't offer any discount for a group booking so these are standard prices.

Airkix in Milton Keynes

Kix-start - Group rates
  • A fun briefing and instruction period, in which you will learn and practice free-fall and bodyflying techniques.
  • Free locker hire.
  • Free gear hire - everything you need to fly………..we supply!
  • Two flights of one minute each - that’s the same free-fall time as three tandem skydives.
  • A personalised flight certificate for each flyer - signed by one of our instructors.
  • DVD footage included.
Price = £32.99 off-peak and £36.99 peak (normally £43.99)

Air-born - Group rates
  • A fun briefing and instruction period, in which you will learn and practice free-fall and bodyflying techniques.
  • Free locker hire.
  • Free gear hire - everything you need to fly………..we supply!
  • Two flights of two minutes each - that’s the same free-fall time as six tandem skydives.
  • A personalised flight certificate for each flyer - signed by one of our instructors.
  • DVD footage included.
Price = £54.99 off-peak and £59.99 peak (Normally £69.99)

As regards booking with Airkix FULL payment is required to confirm the booking so payment would be needed now and not in November if I can get the date.

Have a think, and let me know here who is still up for it and give a preference on which company you want to go for.. Personally, I still think Airkix is the better of the two, although you get 30 seconds less flight time its a much better package and the company looks more professional !!

With regards to the Peak / Off Peak prices for Airkix, we would be paying "Peak" prices for the weekend.

On their site there is no mention that I have found about having asthma so you should be fine.. This is their "Can I Fly" check list.

Anyone in reasonable health & fitness can fly but do check the list of criteria below before you book.
You can fly at Airkix as long as you:
  • Do not weigh more than 18 stone (114kg). Call us if you are heavier than this.
  • Are 5 or above. (Younger flyers must be able to comfortably wear one of our helmets).
  • Are not pregnant.
  • Have not previously dislocated your shoulder - in which case talk to your doctor, and call us.
  • Are not under the influence of alcohol or non-prescribed drugs.
  • Are not wearing a hard cast.
  • Have signed permission from a parent or guardian if under 18.
  • Have signed our statement of risk.
And that's it. As long as you don't tick any of the boxes you can fly... and don't worry if you need to wear glasses or contact lenses, we can supply goggles that can fit over them.

When I make the booking all payments have to be made in full to confirm it, no £10 deposits. This means payment will need to be made sooner rather than later. Omce I have final details of who wants to go i'll let you all know about payments. Be easier if I collect it all from you then leave the country, no, i mean pay it all as one block booking..
